Who we are
Anna Cleaning Services is a sole trader business based at 42, Tamworth B79 8HP. We are the "data controller" for any personal information you give us.
Contact: 07895 782292
What information we collect
- When you ask for a quote: your name, phone number, postcode, the service you want and anything you choose to tell us.
- When you become a customer: your address, access details (for example key or alarm arrangements) and payment records.
When you visit the website: like almost every website, our host briefly processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks and spam. If you use one of our forms, a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address is kept for 60 seconds to stop repeated spam submissions, then deleted automatically. We never see or store your actual IP address.
This website does not store anything you type into the quote form. When you press send, the form opens WhatsApp on your device with your message written out. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it in WhatsApp. WhatsApp is run by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd (Meta) and handles messages under its own privacy policy.
If you sign up for news and offers: your email address, the date you signed up and the wording you agreed to (so we can show you gave consent).
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote: steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To arrange and carry out your cleaning: performance of a contract.
- To keep financial records for HMRC: legal obligation.
- To send news and offers by email: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the website secure and block spam: legitimate interests (keeping our website and your information safe).
You don't have to give us your details, but we can't give you a quote or book a clean without a way to contact you. We don't make any decisions about you using automated systems or profiling.
We never sell your information, and we only send marketing emails to people who have signed up for them.
Who we share it with
Only where needed: our phone and messaging providers, an accountant if we use one, and HMRC where the law requires it. News sign-ups are stored securely with our website host, Cloudflare, and passed to our email newsletter service, MailerLite (based in the EU), which sends the emails. These companies only handle the data on our behalf. Some of them are based in the USA, where data is protected by the UK-US "data bridge" or equivalent safeguards. Our website host may also keep basic server logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to a booking: deleted within 12 months.
- Customer and payment records: 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
- News sign-ups: until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can use the form on our News page.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, ask us to limit or stop using it, object to us using it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent (news emails), you can withdraw it at any time, and this doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it. Just call or message us. We will reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website does not use any cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and doesn't store anything on your device. Fonts and all other files are loaded from this website itself, not from third parties, so no information about your visit is shared with anyone else. Our web host, Cloudflare, may occasionally set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors apart from bots. It doesn't track you, and the law doesn't require consent for it. That's why you won't see a cookie banner.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
Signing up for news doesn't set any cookies either. The only outside services are ones you choose to open: WhatsApp (if you use the form) and Google Maps (if you click the map link).
